Why just for kids??

Thanks amanda! And you know what, to be honest I think the first book or two are okay for kids but after that I really think HP seems like meant for teens and even adults.

And I work at the library- I know that we've got over a hundred people on a waiting list for the new book and most are adults!

We have several HP books in our children's section but let me tell you they are not checked out very often.
But we've got atleast five copies of every HP book in the ADULT section and they are always missing from the shelves!!
So does that tell you who likes HP?? [img]wink.gif[/img]

Remember the New York Times had to create a separate childrens book best seller list because Harry Potter was crowding out all of the other books.
AG should have a club for those beyond the target age. I dislike the fact that club members get previews , surveys and games related to the historical AGs.

I have a 40-ish friend who has bought every book and is on the waiting list for this one, and her kids aren't even reading yet. In fact, she bought the first ones before she even had kids.

LOL that's great! I'm so going to tell my mom and brother about that later! To be honest, I think most kids like to read HP but could probably take it or leave it. I think the adults are the ones who get truly obsessed with it!

Perhaps even kind of like the adults on here... I mean, there are posts every so often about how someone's daughter seems less interested in AG lately, etc. etc. But it's those of us adult collectors who are driving to Madison, planning trips to AGP, building doll rooms, doing "code math", etc., who are TRULY obsessed with AG... not the kids! (which is why if AG were smart they'd be attracting the adult audience a bit more).

I always wish I could do things that are only for kids, too. I hate it when I get left out, just cuz I'm too old [img]graemlins/cry_smile.gif[/img] Oh, to be a kid again!
